Ahhhh....sangat lega lepas aku abis exam yang sangat mencabar tahap nak kena selsema babi.Ni merupakan satu kegembiraan buat aku dan sume warga kelas aku...hahaha. Kalau nak citer pasal wabak memang skarang ni banyak wabak yang melanda negara macam wabak selsema babi kalau yang terbaru la. Tapi kali ni aku bukan nak citer pasal wabak selsema babi, tapi aku nak citer pasal wabak kegembiraan yang merupakan wabak kesukaan ramai termasuk aku...:p

Rasanya kalau aku cakap pasal wabak kegembiraan mesti ade orang yang tak tau menatang apekebende tuh. Wabak ni bahaya ke? cun ke? Ade dua kaki ke? jawapannya sume sekali. Sebab ape? Sebab wabak ni bahaya kalau menyerang dan ade dua kaki....:p Okeh la, dah panjang intro aku ni.sbnanya wabak ni PLAGUE OF HAPPINESS kalau dalam bahasa simplenya....ekekeke.

Wabak kegembiraan 2003

Kalau nak mengenang kembali detik2 aku kenal band ni masa aku 1st time berjinak-jinak dengan arena gig time zaman budak hingusan sekitar taun 2005. Masa tu memang 1st time aku pegi gig kat segamat, Johor. Venue kalau tak salah aku kat Dewan Serbaguna Segamat. Nama gig tu Rock On Stage 2. Band pon aku dah tak berapa ingat tapi yang pasti ade Plague Of Happiness, The Times (yang masa tu baru pecah dari OAG),Battlegrounds, N many laaa. Masa aku pegi ni memang aku fly dari hostel aku la bersama konco2 aku. Maklum la aku dulu budak hostel yang skema giler....haha. Balik gig kantoi pulak dengan warden aku...Adoiii.

Masa ni Naz=vocal,guitar still berambut mohawk lagi la. Time plague perform memang aku salute la. mamat2 punk rocka mula memenuhi saf-saf hadapan (macam nak semayang la pulak...:p). Wahhh....feymes jugak band ni walaupon mainkan irama ska punk jek. Maybe mamat2 punk rocka tu nak pogho lagu Viva La Punk cover dari otai Kuala Pilah, The Bollocks...hehe. Time tu aku rasa memang plague je la satu-satunya band ska punk kat malaysia ni. Sebab mana la aku kenal lagi band2 ska punk yang lain...:p

Okeh, skarang aku nak citer serba sedikit pasal band ni walaupon ramai yang dah tau. Senyap sudah, baca je kalau nak. Band ni start taun 1999 yang mempunyai pengaruh dari Rancid,kemuri(japan) dan Operation-ivy dan mula rekod demo untuk tolong member yang study kat Lim Kok Wing untuk masuk Malaysian Video Awards (MVA) tapi tak sempat sertai sebab tak dapat siapkan. Maklum la,kureng experience la kan....:p Maka terhasillah Demo pertama 'Nanban' sekitar August 2000. Kalau tak silap aku, Nanban tu bermaksud kawan. Ikut bahasa apa aku pon dah tak ingat la. Sambutan demo ni memang tahap gaban. Aku pon still simpan demo ni...:p

Lepas tu Plague join buat album kompilasi 'Before We Were Young' yang melibatkan antara band2 punk rock dan ska macam Fairy Goat Mudder, Sherzo, Fags And Stoned. Then, Plague menerima undangan oleh TROSKOT RECORDS (Bulgaria) untuk kompilasi 'ZAAAZZ'. Kompilasi ni untuk kanak2 spastik dan plague menyumbangkan lagu 13th May daripada demo Nanban.

Sekitar Mac 2003, Plague berpeluang jadi opening act untuk The Business bersama dengan ACAB (yang ketika tu still dengan attitude oi!) dan beberapa band lagi. Pastu menyumbangkan lagu lagi dalam sountrack GEDEBE (filem indiependent yang diarah oleh Nam Ron/Paloh). Pastu rilis 4-way split 'All Of The Ska Bands Are Splitting Up' bersama Lame Duck(norway), The Square(norway), Smooth Lee(Belgium).

Rilisan 4-way split ni mengandungi lagu hits macam 'Viva La Punk' dan 'Lepaskan'. Sekitar 2004, Plague jugak rekod lagu BOOKIES untuk album tribute to ACAB Vol 1. Dan bermacam-macam lagi la projek2 yang dilakukan seperti muncul di 8tv untuk program Latte@8 dan Homegrown, dapat tajaan.

1st album akhirnya siap sekitar 2007 dan dapat rilis taun 2008 lepas macam2 masalah berlaku. Plague jugak dah setel Kawan Malaysian and Singapore Tour dan Naz dapat tajaan dari Gibson...Caya la bro. Projek terbaru plague dah rekod 2 lagu baru untuk dimuatkan dalam album kompilasi Radio Rosak. Satu lagu melayu iaitu 'Hasrat' dan satu lagu Omputih yang bertajuk 'Useless Enemy". Okeh,tu je kot aku tau pasal band ni. Akhir kata, aku nak pinjam ayat naz...."Stomp That Feet Wid Crazy Skankcore Beat".

Warrghh....Lately ni bosan betul blog aku ni. Post2 sebelum ni aku post je band2 crust N sebelumnya aku post band2 ska jek. Sambutan pon memang kureng la sebab muzik cmni sape la nak dengar kan. Kalau indie ramai la kn sebab time skarang orang layan indie. Mainstream nak mampos...hahaha.Agak lama jugak aku tak merepek kat sini. sebab aku memang tak rajin pon menulis....dulu BM aku pon dapat bape jek.Maklum la,aku pon agak sebok ngn final exam aku yang haramjadah tu. Naseb la tinggal satu paper lg.Tak taw la aku dapat grad dengan jayanya atau aku sangkut untuk satu sem lg...Adoiiii!!! Fuck Betul la paper Finance aku arituh. Lecturer aku macam dengki ngan aku jek sampai buat soalan susah tahap hanjing. Tips kasi lain kuar len...Total Bullshit!! Aku taw la aku ni tak rajin pegi kelas dia tuh...Ahhh,lantak dia la. Pasni aku cuti lama siot....hahaha.Blog ni nanti lama la tak update.kalau mangkok dua ekor ni rajin tolong la update....ekekeke. Aku ingat pon semalam lepas abis exam nak ajak member aku pegi gig Hardcore to Crust kat Ampang. Ade Carburetor Dung tuh beb.Tapi bus aku dari kampus nak ke hostel aku pulak takde.terpaksa tunggu sampai budak2 abis exam baru ade bus. Dalam pukul 5 la cmtu. fukimak betul....huh.Melepas aku nak makan nasik semalam.Terpaksa la aku puasa.....haha. Lagi satu melepas nak pegi gig kat KL untuk kali terakhir...waaaaa.Dah dua kali rugi ni. Yang untungnya aku dapat saving duit jek. Bagus jugak tuh...hehe.Pasni aku memang pegi area JB je la. Biasa gig area JB taw2 je la kat mana venue dia.Skarang pon area JB banyak jugak gig2 disebabkan impak dari demam indie. Jugak munculnya mamat2 poser yang mengaku budak2 indie bagai cendawan tumbuh lepas HUJAN. Biasa la budak2 skolah kan. Kalau ikut pemerhatian aku la, time gigs indie bukan main ramai crowd yang datang. kebanyakannya budak2 sekolah la.Tapi masa aku pegi gigs Konsert Bersatu kt JB aritu memang beza la. Aku rasa sebab tak ramai yang kenal taiko2 macam Acid rain,JBH,Hayagriva,Mistik. Tarikannya mungkin Plague of happiness sebab aku tengok lepas plague perform jek makin kureng crowdnya.Okeh la,ntahpape la aku merepek sorang2. Bukan ade makhluk nak baca pon...erkk. Aku rasa nak blah dulu la...Study lagi bagos!! Selamat Bercuti sume.....Cheers!!

Give and Take featuring Bad Omen gig report

Thanks to the kids who came and made the Bad Omen show in KL a success yesterday. Bad Omen plus the frontman's wife and kid arrived at Pudu Termimal at 3pm. The gig started exactly at 4pm.

The band who kick-start the show was The Korok, a horror punk band, the latest addition in Nervhous family. They did some cover songs of the Misfits along with one own composition. I was busy at the door managing the entrance, so I only went in to take some photos.

Second band was Orange Free State who recently released their CDEP 'This City!', they played their songs from the CD and the crowd was chilling a bit with their noise pop. I was still busy at the door, and that's just my assuming, haha!

Up next was Cock Say Cock Dung from Kuala Terengganu. They played four songs from their recently release EP and two covers. I was invited to sing on those two covers; 'Lawan Diktataor' by Marjinal and 'Petrol Petrol Petrol' by DumDumTak. The crowds started to get more crazier and sang along.

Plague of Happiness brought along a friend from Japan, G-Sey and he played some songs acoustically for us.

The calm and soothing songs from G-Sey, was then changed with total heavy grinding madness by Spermblast. Crazy headbanging from the band members and crowd.

After hard-hitting grinding, we again calm down a bit with Polaris, a band who need no introduction in the post-rock (?) music scene. They also recently released an EP, and played songs from the EP and some old songs.

I missed to see Skunkfix's set but I watched the crazy set from the door. They played some new and old songs with Akmal (guitar hero punk rocker from T.I.M) as the guitarist. At this time, Tobek slammed and fell down so hard and he was resting in the car all the way after that and also was sent to hospital later that night. Wish he'll be okay.

After Skunkfix, Carburetor Dung played and followed by Plague of Happiness and Second Combat. As everyone is familiar with these bands set, I think I shouldn't elaborate more.

Finally, Bad Omen from Philippines took the stage and did the songs on their new album 'God is Everywhere' as well as some old songs. Mostly in English whilst some in their native language.

The gig ended at about 9.45pm with 100 people paid to enter. We gave some money to Bad Omen and Cock Say Cock Dung (who rented a Kenari to come to KL). The balance, we will give to our friend (RM300+), Fael who needs some money for his medication cost. Well, he needs a lot actually, but that's just some little portion we could give to his family. The idea to have a benefit gig for Fael atcually came from Nas of Plague of Happiness a couple of months ago.

Thanks to all the bands and kids who came, buy the stuffs on sale, selling some stuffs, helped here and there. See you guys at the next gig!
